About K-pop Bias Match
A free, fan-made compatibility tool for the global K-pop community.
Who runs this site
K-pop Bias Match is built and maintained by jwon9798 as part of Jwon Labs — an independent web developer and K-pop fan. The project is open-source on GitHub.
I built this tool because international fans love Korean name-compatibility games but rarely find versions tailored to K-pop culture. Every feature — FLAMES, ship names, group soulmate rankings — was designed for sharing with fellow stans.
Our mission
K-pop Bias Match was created for international fans who want a lighthearted way to explore their connection with a favorite idol — their bias. We combine a classic Korean name-compatibility game (이름 궁합) with K-pop culture: match percentages, ship names, FLAMES results, daily horoscopes, and shareable cards you can post with friends.
The site is built and maintained by an independent K-pop fan and web developer (jwon9798@gmail.com). We are not affiliated with any entertainment agency, artist, or record label. Every result is generated for fun using a transparent algorithm — never official compatibility data.
What makes this site different
- Two modes: test a 1:1 match with any idol, or rank every member of 14 major groups to find your group soulmate.
- Deterministic results: the same name and birthday always produce the same score, so you can share reproducible results with friends.
- Educational depth: we explain FLAMES, numerology, and fan terminology in our How It Works page and Guides section.
- No account required: the tool runs entirely in your browser. Optional local storage saves your bias leaderboard on your device only.
- Updated lineups: group member lists are verified periodically (currently as of June 2026).
Editorial standards
All written content on this site is original. K-pop facts cited in match cards come from publicly available records (RIAA certifications, Billboard chart milestones, official debut dates). We do not scrape articles from other websites or republish copyrighted material.
When we reference artists or groups, we do so in a descriptive, fan-context manner — similar to how music review sites discuss performers. We never claim endorsement from any artist.
